Formed in 1997 by David Schecter, Schecter were originally known for producing high quality replacement parts for guitars and basses, in 1987 the Schecter company was purchased by the owner of ESP guitars Hisatake Shibuya.
His vision of two very seperate brands has become reality with the Diamond series of highly affordable guitars, although the majority of its guitars are produced in South Korea, all guitars are sent to the US for setup before being sent to there final destination. Schecter also still run their USA custom shop where the craftsmen from Schecter produce some of the most visually exciting guitars around
