The ISP Decimator is the ultimate in pedal based noise reduction
The Decimator offers a revolutionary breakthrough in Noise Reduction processing with an unparalleled level of performance. The HUSH system, as well as all other noise reduction systems suffers from one major problem inherent in their design: The system cannot be immediately responsive to very short-term staccato notes. The typical downward expander noise reduction system suffers from a dead zone in the release response characteristic which causes a compromise in tracking both fast decaying notes and long sustained notes.
The Decimator design offers a novel approach to tracking the envelope of the input signal called Time Vector Processing. Due to this novel approach in controlling the expander, the Decimator system will instantly respond to short staccato notes and, at the same time, will provide a very slow ripple free control of long sustained notes. This means that the Decimator noise reduction system is the most transparent and highest performance noise reduction system available.

The ISP Decimator is with out a doubt the best noise suppressor going, it is simple and extremely effective, it cuts out any unwanted noise and doesn't strip away any of your tone! :)

i use this at the end of my pedal train i leave it on all the time and im able to put high gain on without worrying. The product is for any one who uses high gain pedals amps or has noisy single coil pick ups. i have had the boss ns 2 the rocktron hush but the isp is the most natural sounding of the lot and is hands over the others when returning to clean.

This product is well known for being the best noise gate after the preamp for a valve amp. I have a Peavey 6534+.

Thoroughly recommended

Very well built, easy to use and an excellent tool for ridding unwanted noise / hiss / inteference / feedback - excellent for high gain amps (I use a Mesa Rectifier) and tight / choppy riffing - better than all available closely priced "noise gates"

I found the ISP Decimator really got rid of annoying and unnecessary hiss pretty well, which is what I wanted really. I found the decay on the notes a little forced when switching to my distortion but I feel I still need to get to grips with this pedal for its full effectiveness.
