Sounds of Summer

Sittin’ on the dock of the bay

Watchin’ the tides roll away…

As the summer rolls on, the heat has more and more people thinking about barbecues, picnics, and much more out in the parks and open spaces around them.

Why not become the life and soul of the party by bringing along an acoustic guitar or a ukulele?

As the BBQ goes on long into the evening, conversation is joined by bursts of song, which often turn into singalongs.

Bringing an instrument you can play encourages this.

Camaraderie Through Summer Music

Sitting around the glowing embers of your BBQ, singing along together, is a great way to bond with your friends. Adding a guitar encourages even singers who don’t think they’re very good to join in. And that makes for a brighter summer memory which will keep you warm through into winter.

We’ve all lost Saturdays to doing this, but they’re never truly lost. Everyone goes away happy. We’ve seen bands born on days like that, as knowing a friend has a guitar encourages others to take up instruments they haven’t played since school – or to start up lessons of their own.

It’s amazing what can grow out of a few summer singalongs – but that’s not even the point; the singalongs themselves are the point.

If you’re not sure which guitar and accessories best suit you, there’s never been a better time to drop by. We’ll help you figure out what feels best and get you all the accessories you might need.
