Gibson Electric Guitars

Well, what can you say about Gibson that hasn’t already been said? Formed in 1902 crafting Mandolin style instruments Gibson then when on to invent the Arch top guitar using the same carved tops found on violins before moving onto the solid body electric in the early 50s. Gibson make a huge variety of guitars, the most famous and iconic being the Les Paul, pretty much the first signature model made and now played by such luminaries as Slash, Jimmy Page, Joe Perry and Ace Frehley to name a few. Gibson also make some great hollow body guitars, perfect for any style from Jazz to Hard Rock. You might think that a Gibson Byrdland wouldn’t be any good for high gain rock, but I think Ted Nugent would disagree!
